The North Face Stormbreak 2 tent is an inexpensive 3 season tent with 2 doors and 2 multi-configuration vestibules. For backpacking, the minimum weight is 5 lbs and 5 oz, and the packed size is 7×22″. It has 43″ of headroom, 30.6 square feet of floor space.
The North Face Stormbreak 3 tent has the same 2 doors and 2 multi-configuration vestibules. It has 39.7 square feet of floor space, weighs in at 6 lbs 10 oz, and packs down to 8×22″.
Both tents provide fully seam-taped canopies and floors, an easy-pitch design, and are compatible with the North Face Tentertainment Center (which is not included). They have high/low ventilation for good airflow, helping to keep you dry and comfortable.
North Face Stormbreak Tent Reviews
Here are YouTube reviews of the North Face Stormbreak 2 and 3 tents (not my reviews, but they will give you a detailed look at these tents). Nothing fancy but these two videos give you a quick overview of the setup of the tent in both the 2 and 3 person configuration, and you can see it set up. Both models of this tent come with 4 tent poles. Two long ones that go from corner to corner diagonally across the tent, and two smaller cross poles that hold out the edges. The tents using a 4 pole design give you a little more headroom compared to a 2 pole tent, but after using 2 pole tents I’m not completely sold on whether it’s necessary or not. Check out these two clips to see what the Stormbreak backpacking tent is all about.
