If you can spare a weekend or even a week, camping can be one of those amazing family get-a-ways. It’s not as expensive as a vacation, it doesn’t require too much and it gets the family into the great outdoors. Being able to breathe in the crisp fresh air, sleep in tents together, roast marshmallows around an open fire and tell stories provides amazing bonding time. But, some children may not be into all of the camping activities that you usually do. For instance, a two-year-old isn’t going to enjoy a four-hour canoe trip up the river, or a two-hour hiking trip up to the lookout. Instead, they might enjoy swimming at the beach or playing with their toys in the camper. So despite the fact that camping gets your children outside and away from all of their electronics, making sure they get the reboot they need may require some form of other entertainment. So we have put together a comprehensive list of a large array of camping activities that you can do with children of all ages. We will break them down into categories with a note on what age appropriate grouping each activity is.
